House Story: Our New Half-Bath

My husband and I bought our house 6 years ago. It was built in the 1800s and needed a bit of love and patience. We have slowly been working on our house and transforming it into everything we want. We just finished a project of taking dead space in our side attic and converting it into a half bath.

Pink Areas shaded to show where the side attics are located.

What exactly does it look like inside the side attic? It looks like a hot mess of insulation, ventilation and not much else.

It's beginning to take shape.

We always thought the bathroom would be tiny and not much room in there, but we were wrong! There is plenty of space in there.

I like the metallic finish on the light fixture and the clean wall color. We chose a similarly shaded green called, "Shimmer". I chose a smaller light fixture with brushed nickel accents.

Storage is going to be limited in our new space. I love this idea of using a window box for towel storage. It could also hold extra TP or mounted by the commode for reading material. The best part is it doesn't take up any space!
